Jun 14, 2015 · We have some backup copy jobs using the WAN accelerator to our offsite. It works fine. Recently I added a new backup copy job from Endpoints backups. This backup currently only backups two computers. The backup copy job is also using the WAN accelerator.

Traffic Squeezer does WAN Acceleration with the technologies such as Traffic Compression, Traffic PDU Coalescing, Protocol Specific Acceleration (ex: TCP Acceleration Mechanisms), Quality of Service, etc. I'm looking for some open source, or low cost, WAN acceleration solutions to evaluate. On the commercial side I've looked at Riverbed and Silverpeak. Both are still possibilities for us however both are also very expensive. If there are some decent open source products out there that the community likes I'd really like to test them out.
