Jul 04, 2014 · I am in China and the problem is NOT the great firewall of China. If I turn on my VPN, even using a Chinese server, it will work. The problem is my VPN is limited to 50 Gig a month,and I hate to waste bandwidth sharing. Anyways, sometimes if I turn on my VPN I'll connect to the seeds and peers and then the download will continue with the VPN off.

This is what worked for me: 1-Close utorrent 2-Go to the folder search bar and search %AppData% then click roaming. 3-Remove the settings.dat and settings.dat.old files in the utorrent/bittorrent folder 4-Restart utorrent. It is fast. Using torrents I know have lots of seeders. Using a different wifi connection. Shutting off my antivirus (Avast). I've re-added the torrents, reinstalled uTorrent, tried with Deluge as well, tried several different sites, nothing helped. PC and router firewallas are down as well, no change.
